MattyLovesPodcast Volume 2, Episode 5

Greetings! Matt and “Dr.” Tom return this week to talk about some of the upcoming “comic book movies” to be released in theaters worldwide.

It’s been a few weeks. Since then, Matt and Tom saw Deadpool. They have a few thoughts.

The guys also take a look at some other anticipated films like Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Civil War, Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange, and TMNT 2.

Hello everyone!

Your friendly neighborhood podcast host, Matt de Simone, here.

I read A LOT of comics on a weekly basis. About a year ago, I had a weekly blog entitled, MATTYLOVESCOMICS. The blog was used for me to state my opinions and commentary about the comic books released that week, and maybe a little bit about the books from the week before.

As I was compliling my list for this week, a few things jumped out at me. I used to jump right on and blog about whatever was irking me at the time. Now that I have my podcast centered around comic books and other geek-related stuff, why not take my old blog and turn it into a 20-minute podcast?

And here it is. I’m not sure if this will be a weekly thing. The recording, mixing, and uploading can be timely. If I have a light week and am not too bogged down with other projects, I’ll try my best to make this particular podcast a “thing.”

In the meantime, give it a listen and let me know what you think!

MattyLovesPodcast, Volume 2: Episode 4 – “It is 3 minutes to midnight”

About a week ago, Matt read an article about “the Doomsday Clock.” This spawned a story idea. This week, Matt pitches his story to “Dr. Tom,” who is serving as the interested party.

Matt’s story is titled, “It’s not a clock.”

It’s going to take some research.

Meanwhile, Tom recently picked up Mark Millar’s Wanted once again.

Tom also finished watching Star Wars: Clone Wars. He talks briefly about his thoughts on the finale of the series.

Matt is getting ready to start playing Star Wars: Edge of the Empire with a few of his friends from school. It’s Matt’s first venture into tabletop RPGs.
