Welcome back to another exciting episode of MattyLovesPodcast!
On this episode, Matt de Simone is joined by the Editor-In-Chief at EclipsePopCulture.com, Cooper Davis Smith.
It’s a sad day for Matt and Coop as their favorite ongoing comic book series ever comes to an end in 2017. Robert Kirkman’s Invincible has brought so much joy to lives of its readers. The book that always delivered has been a bit suspect as of late. The past few years at times have produced bi to tri-monthly releases and the story seemed to hit a bit of a roadblock with the “Reboot” story arc.
This week, Kirkman announced Invincible will be coming to an end with issue 144 (#130 drops 8/24). So this means there’s a little over a year left of story. Matt and Coop are ready for the greatest arc yet.
There’s a bit of controversy over the casting of Mary Jane in Spider-Man: Homecoming due out this spring. The fellas discuss their thoughts on Disney alumna, Zendaya, as well as how awesome Superior Spider-Man series and how awesome a Spider-Man television series would be.
Suicide Squad’s been out for a couple of weeks. You can guess what they thought about it. No? Well this episode will shed some light on the another “cracking” attempt from DC Entertainment.
Finally, Matt and Coop discuss an article on EclipsePopCulture.com about Superman’s black costume and the possibilities of it showing up in Justice League. You can check out the article here: http://www.eclipsepopculture.com/2016/08/16/whats-the-deal-with-black-suit-superman/
